RMA VV’s annual ‘Big Serve Day’ brings big fun

RMA VV hosted its annual ‘Big Serve Day’ with church partner High Desert Church. The church brought out 33 youth group students and 11 adult volunteers to help spruce up the Mission! They worked on the property’s landscaping, deep cleaned the fleet vehicles inside and out, leveled out the driveway areas, and other much-needed projects.

RMA VV served the entire crew a hot lunch of smash burgers and fries from their mobile lunch truck. Director Bill Edwards even joined in on the fun, donning an apron and helping to prepare the meals for the hungry crew.

John Schmidt, men’s program manager, praised the group. “We are so incredibly grateful to High Desert Church for its continued partnership and support of the Mission, our programs, and our residents by hosting our graduations and participating in Big Serve Day! What a blessing they are!”
