Rescue and restore: helping trafficking survivors heal

This month, we acknowledge this crisis in our community.
Every January, we observe Human Trafficking Prevention Month - a time to confront one of the most devastating injustices affecting our communities. Human trafficking is not just a global crisis; it is happening here at home. Those facing homelessness, addiction, or domestic violence are especially vulnerable.
At Rescue Mission Alliance, prevention begins with meeting basic needs and offering hope. For over 50 years, we have served the homeless, and today our work spans three counties to protect those at risk and provide pathways to healing. By stepping in with care and resources, we can stop traffickers before they strike.
Human Trafficking thrives in secrecy and desperation. Through trauma-informed, survivor-centered programs, we create safe spaces for survivors and their children to heal. Our recovery programs, transitional housing, and supportive services help individuals reclaim dignity and break free from cycles of exploitation.
Awareness is the first step. The next is partnership. By standing with Rescue Mission Alliance, you help survivors regain freedom and hope. Together, we can dismantle the systems that allow trafficking to persist. How you can help: Learn the signs of human trafficking and share vital resources, including Rescue Mission Alliance services and the National Human Trafficking Hotline at (888) 373-7888. You can also partner with us by donating, volunteering, or advocating, and by being a voice for hope in your community.
With you by our side, we can help stop Human Trafficking. Every gift, every hour volunteered, and every conversation matters. Together, we can ensure that freedom is not a privilege, it's a right.
