The Rescue Mission Alliance (RMA) family continues to reflect on the incredible legacy of service left by our long-time Chairman of the Board, Jim Owens, who passed away in November.

Jim’s faithful leadership as RMA’s Chairman for much of the last 30 years was a profound blessing, shaping the very mission and trajectory of our organization. His dedication to stewardship, compassion, and the ministry’s core values has set an enduring standard for us all. Our prayers remain with the Owens family during this difficult time.

As we transition into this next season, we are incredibly thankful for God’s provision of gifted and committed leaders for our Board. It is our honor to announce the following appointments to the Board of Directors leadership team, effective last Wednesday, December 10.

Doug Otten, who brings deep institutional knowledge, having previously served as RMA’s CEO, is now Chairman of the Board. Donna Lucas will now step into the role of Vice Chair, and John Gardner will continue in his role of Secretary.
