Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Project Gets Support from Albert & Elaine Borchard Foundation

Valley Food Bank would like to express its deepest thanks and appreciation to the Albert & Elaine Borchard Foundation for its recent grant award of $5,000 to support the food bank’s “Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope” project.

The services provided by the Valley Food Bank would not be possible without the financial, in-kind, and volunteer support of community partners like the Albert & Elaine Borchard Foundation who share a common interest to meet the needs of those in our community who are struggling. The grant will specifically support operational costs associated with food collection, donation processing, and storage. The foundation’s generous support of these operations will ensure a continuous delivery of food resources to numerous pantries throughout the San Fernando Valley. Thank you!

Cypress Funds/Vitamin Cases Settlement Fund Gives the Valley Food Bank a Grant Towards the Purchase of a Forklift

The Valley Food Bank would like to express its appreciation and thanks to Cypress Funds/Vitamin Cases Settlement Fund for awarding the food bank a one-time grant of $24,990 to purchase a new forklift for carrying out warehouse operations and increasing our capacity to receive larger bulk food deliveries. The new forklift will enable Valley Food Bank to meet an increased need for food resources and to add additional pantries to our distribution network. A special thanks also to the staff of Vitamin Cases for working with us over the past two years to receive this grant.
