National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) “Stamp out Hunger” Food Drive, locally sponsored by Campbell Soup.
THANK YOU to everyone that placed food by their mailbox on Saturday, May 12th. Your collective efforts provided more than 12,000 pounds of food to the Valley Food Bank, translating into more than 9,600 meals.
The NALC “Stamp Out Hunger” has drawn the support of very generous donors such as Kroger and Campbell’s Soup. This food drive would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of all United Sates Postal Employees.
Thank you to the letter carriers, volunteers and the Valley Food Bank community for “Stamping out Hunger”
Pie in the Sky
The Valley Food Bank relies on support from the community in the form of donations. Not only do we need food items, funding and volunteers to help those in need but also we have specific items we could use to enhance our efforts to operate as an effective and efficient organization.
Gifts-in-kind are donations of goods and services in support of the Food Bank’s efforts in “Fighting Hunger – Feeding Hope.” In addition to writing a check, sponsoring a food drive or volunteering, individuals and businesses further our ministry by making in-kind donations.
The Valley Food Bank can utilize all sorts of donations. Whether incorporating new technology or expanding our “Pie in the Sky” wish list of items that would allow us to increase our efficiency and ability to distribute food to children, seniors and individuals in need through our network of agencies.
If you have items you believe might make good donations for the Valley Food Bank or our programs, please contact us at 818 510-4140.
