Human Resources Assistant - Rescue Mission Alliance Headquarters

Summary
The HR Assistant is responsible for the administration of Human Resources (HR) functions including, but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, leaves of absences, payroll forms processing, policy and procedures and general HR duties in accordance with (RMA’s) policies and procedures and State, Federal and local laws. This is a full-time, nonexempt position located in Oxnard at Corporate Headquarters and reports to the Director of Operations. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience, and includes benefits. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Participates in recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above); and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees. Maintains employee personnel files. Conducts new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks. Files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures. Assists in exit interview process. Assists in organizational training and development efforts. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Helps to maintain company organization charts and employee directory. Complies with RMA safety program. Performs all other related duties and projects assigned. 

Qualifications
Committed Christian in good standing in a local church. Bachelors Degree preferred; High school Diploma required. One to two years human resource experience. Knowledge of human resource employment law.  Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work at all levels in organization and with diverse work groups. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Children’s Resource Specialist - Lighthouse for Women and Children

Summary
Reporting to the Case Manager Coordinator the Children’s Resource Specialist will assist the mothers and children of the Lighthouse for Women and Children in developing a well rounded lifestyle. They will seek to provide a variety of recourses and aids to bring each child into full recovery as their mothers work to recover.  This is a part-time, nonexempt position located in Oxnard, California. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This position will not be available for benefits. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create and maintain individual files for each child. Follow up on child’s immunization records and physical/dental history. Develop and maintain a play/arts and crafts area for the children. Schedule one-on-one time with the mothers. Maintain accurate client documentation. Conduct Bible studies and praise and worship time for the children. Supervise homework time by assisting mothers as they help their children with homework. Coordinate special events for the children. Provide direct child care as the need arises.

Qualifications / skills
Two to five years prior child care experience. One to two years or more of experience in urban and/or homeless related ministries/positions. High School diploma. Bi-lingual preferred. Guest Services Coordinator - Lighthouse for Women and Children

Summary 
Reporting to the Lighthouse Director the Guest Services Coordinator meets the needs of the clients and provides a resource and encouragement to the Guest Services Associates as they meet the needs of the clients they are working with.  This is a full-time, nonexempt position located in Oxnard, California. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Meet with the Director weekly. Meet with the leadership team weekly or as frequently as needed. Attend weekly treatment team meetings. Meet weekly with the Administrative Coordinator. Teach program classes as needed. See that all client tracking reports are up to date and turn in appropriate end of month reports: master guest list, bed sheets, daily activity notebooks. Keep up on all daily logs including answering questions as they arise, offering additional insights and making additional recommendations as needed. Keep up to date on all safety issues and training and assist in the safety training as needed. Perform emergency intakes as needed. Check all facilities by visiting in person and checking the security cameras throughout the shift. Participate in shift change meetings. Communicate any and all information relating to clients and programs via email to appropriate staff as well as in the daily log. See that the Guest Services Associates have carried out their responsibilities daily. Speak publicly as assigned by the Director. Participate in development events as needed. Perform two educational in-services annually. Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications
1-2 years or more of experience in urban and/or homeless related ministries/positions. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Bi-lingual Preferred. Must be able to effectively multi-task. Outbound Call Center Representative (Part-Time) - Call Center

Summary
The Call Center agent is responsible for scheduling outbound calls, pertaining to the gift in kind pickups for thrift stores. This is a part-time nonexempt position located in Oxnard, reporting to the Call Center Manager. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Make outbound calls and schedule pickups, obtain the proper information, be familiar with all RMA ministries to answer donor inquiries. Obtain customer information, data entry and maintenance of customer data base.

Guest Services Associate (Full-Time & Part-Time) - Lighthouse for Women & Children 

Summary
The Ventura County Rescue Mission Lighthouse for Women and Children is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate to work with at risk women and children to provide resources and encouragement to guest in our Emergency Shelter. This is a part-time (24 to 30 hours per week, weekends and some evening shifts) nonexempt position located in Oxnard, reporting to the Guest Services Coordinator. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. The full-time position includes benefits.

IT Help Desk Analyst - Rescue Mission Alliance, IT

Summary
Under minimal supervision, provide first-line response to resolve computer application and network problems. This is a full-time nonexempt position located in Oxnard, reporting to the IT Manager. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience and includes benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with internal customers (Oxnard, San Fernando Valley, Santa Maria and Victor Valley) on a daily basis to ensure that the IT group is providing excellent quality of service. Serve as a liaison between RMA customers and technical support vendors.

Qualifications
Committed Christian in good standing in a local church, customer-centric individual with proven PC system/network diagnostic skills, superior communication abilities, knowledge of ITIL methodology, and operating systems (e.g. Windows XP).  AA Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology or closely related field, or minimum two years of current responsible technical experience performing IT help desk support for personal computers and peripheral equipment including software administration in a multi-user environment. Certifications or working knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco Systems and CompTIA (A+) desirable. Auto Repair Technician - Auto, Santa Paula Service Site

Summary
Reporting to the Auto Department Manager, the Auto Repair Technician is a “Bumper to Bumper” Auto Tech Mechanic. Trouble shoots all types of vehicles and performs various types of repairs from minor to more complex repairs operations. This is a full-time, nonexempt position located in Santa Paula, California. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Examine and test drive donated vehicles, diagnose extent of damage/malfunctions, perform repairs including removing and replacing transmissions, clutches, radiators, water pumps, timing belts, cylinder heads, starters/alternators, shocks, struts, carburetors, brakes, master cylinders, axles, \etc. Bring vehicles into compliance with emission control standards (smog test) and provide certification. Prepare inspection reports, comply with all shop safety standards, communicate effectively with vendors, be honest, polite and courteous to customers, assist with training mechanic helpers.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, experience performing automotive and truck mechanical repairs, working knowledge of modern automotive maintenance methods and procedures, valid CA driver’s license and good driving record, read, write and speak English. SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

Dock Associate - North Hollywood Super Thrift Store

Summary
Reporting to the Dispatch and Production Supervisors, the Dock Associate position will assist Production crew and Dispatch Department to complete all necessary tasks in order to complete Production goals and Dispatch goals. This is a full-time, nonexempt position located in, North Hollywood, California. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is overtime and benefits eligible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Unload Trucks. Operate Forklift. Perform ‘floater’ and ‘unloader’ duties. Maintain organization and cleanliness of production and warehouse including parking lot. Load textiles and E-Waste.

Accept donations and hand out receipts at the dock. Transport donations to other thrift stores in the San Fernando valley area. Ensure all recyclables are labeled in compliance with EPA. Assists in production/warehouse area when needed. Follow all safety (including MSDA) procedures. Perform other related duties as directed.

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent. CA driver’s license. Forklift license. Ability to lift 60# and work on feet for long periods of time. Floor Associate - Sun Valley Super Thrift Store

Summary
The floor associate reports directly to the Thrift Store Supervisor, but may get direction from the lead. The floor associate is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the sales floor. This is a full-time, nonexempt position located in, Sun Valley, California. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is overtime and benefits eligible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Put new merchandise (bric and brac and accessories) out on the floor and at the same time clean the shelves/floor of items that don’t belong there. Organize existing shoes by color. Bring out new shoes to the floor and organize. Sort clothes coming from production by size and color before putting out on floor. Organize the entire floor and remove all empty hangers at the end of the day. Pull clothing, accessories, bric and brac as instructed.  Do markdowns of clothing, accessories, bric and brac as instructed.  Clean bathrooms as needed. Assist customers as needed. Help donors with donations as needed.

Qualifications
Experience a plus, but not required.  Demonstrated work ethic with consistent attendance and punctuality. Director - San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission

Summary
The Rescue Mission Alliance, a Christian nonprofit organization is seeking a dynamic Christian leader to direct our San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. This position will oversee a growing ministry to the hungry and homeless in the San Fernando Valley. It will involve speaking to churches, civic groups, and other organizations to solicit support and educate the community regarding hunger and homelessness. This is a full-time, exempt position located in North Hollywood, reporting to the Regional Vice President of Ministries. SANTA MARIA

Production/Pricer Lead - Central Coast Super Thrift Store

Summary
Reporting to the Thrift Store Manager, the Production Lead oversees all facets of Central Coast Super Thrift’s production center. Establish production quotas and pricing for all category of merchandise, quality control, volunteer supervision, recycle sales, safety, and cleanliness of production center. This is a full-time, nonexempt position located at the Central Coast Super Thrift Store in Santa Maria, CA. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for meeting production unit goals/quotas, serve as lead pricer, research and determines best price for donated goods. Ensure product rotation and inventory control, lead volunteers to accomplish daily quotas. Completes daily production report, inventory quality control checks clothing/recycle/trash bins for efficiency, responsible for recycle sales (textiles, shoes, cardboard, books etc). Trains new volunteers in specific tasks, collaborate with Store Manager in correction/discipline of volunteers. Serve as backup route driver as required. Responsible for Safety culture and IIPP implementation.

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent, one or more years thrift store production experience, working knowledge of retail accessories, familiarity with name brands, pricing, resale value and thrift store customer needs. Ability to effectively and calmly handle conflicts and emergency situations and interact effectively with people of diverse background and circumstances. Program Coordinator - Central Coast Rescue Mission

Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing a strong phased discipleship/recovery program so that after participating in the program, the member has made clear progress toward being a contributing member of Christ’s kingdom. Clear progress is defined as sustained sobriety, sustained changed behavior and changed thinking (putting off sinful nature; putting on Christ); a healthy participant in a local congregation, and a person who gives back to the mission in talent, time, and attitude. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing a strong phased program including recruiting new members, establishing curriculum, providing counsel, direction, program administration, and cultivating a culture of accountability. Leverage thrift store operations for benefit of both program and community awareness, integrate members into outreach ministries of the Mission. Supervision of Program Assistants including recruiting, development, training, and performance evaluation. Cultivate an attitude of safety following RMA safety program by ensuring compliance, modeling safe work practices, providing safety training and recognition for safe behavior and practices.

VICTOR VALLEY

Cook - Victor Valley Rescue Mission

Summary
The Cook reports to the Director and is responsible for all VVRM facility kitchen operations and activities.  This includes the overall operation of the kitchen and specifically involves inventory control, kitchen team management, meal service preparation, health code standards, cleanliness, menu preparation and special events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan weekly meal menu that optimizes food purchases and donations. Train food service team in appropriate food handling practices. Coordinate preparation of all meals.  Adhere to USDA and Public Health food preparation standards. Follow practices of personal hygiene, food handling practices, and proper cleaning and sanitizing methods. Maintain kitchen security. Responsible for the operation of all kitchen equipment. Oversee all volunteer services as it pertains to kitchen service. Implement weekly relevant training on all kitchen procedures. Maintain a kitchen policy and procedure manual in conjunction with the Director’s oversight.

Qualifications / skills
Must have valid Food Handlers card or ServSafe Certification from San Bernardino County. Knowledge in food industry procedures and sanitation codes. Ability to cook in large quantities. Sorter - Victor Valley Super Thrift Store

Summary
Reporting to the Victor Valley Thrift Store Supervisor, the Sorter position primarily sorts donations and will assist Associates, Pricers, Cashiers and Production crew to complete all necessary tasks. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Victorville, California.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Unload and sort donation carts. Separate salable items from the baler, trash and recycling bin

Track carts and time “on-boards” and with Pricer for production report. Minimum production requirement of 30 minutes per hard goods carts and 15 minutes per clothing carts. Perform weekly pulls by designated price brackets based upon lean/full areas. Assist Preparer when necessary. Assist all areas of clothing and hard goods tables
