About the RMA Thrift Stores
The Rescue Mission Alliance has six thrift stores that sell good quality, low cost, previously owned merchandise. View our thrift store locations.
The revenue generated by the thrift store sales helps support the ongoing work of the outreach ministries of the Rescue Mission Alliance. You can help feed the hungry and care for the homeless by donating usable clothing, shoes, knick-knacks, etc.

In our thrift stores, we provide job training, offer low-cost goods to the community, and 100% of the net proceeds are put to use feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and helping people become productive citizens again. Learn more about our training programs
7 Reasons to Shop at our Thrift Stores

It’s inexpensive.

There is no sales tax.

The goods are in better condition than you might think. Many of the clothes come from middle-class homes where people can afford to toss aside barely-worn clothes for the newest trend.

You’ll find things there that you can’t find anywhere else. Records, vintage jewelry, unique t-shirts, and cool jackets, too.

It’s environmentally-friendly. Fewer resources are burned creating new goods and you saved the awesome t-shirt you just bought from ending up in a landfill.

It’s fun. If you have bargain-hunting tendencies, thrift stores might be a little piece of heaven for you.

You’re supporting our programs to feed, clothe, and shelter the homeless.
How to Shop at our Thrift Stores

Stop in frequently because our stores have a constant turnover of merchandise. If you’re looking for something specific, don’t be afraid to return to the same store a few times and leave empty-handed when your item isn’t there.

Be patient. Don't be disappointed if you do not find something that you like, there is always next time.

Be prepared to rummage. By nature, our thrift stores are crowded. That’s okay, it just means it will take a little more time to find what you’re looking for. But when you get a designer sweater for $4, it’s well worth it.

Usually clothes are color coded, so if you are in the market for a particular color blouse; you can browse through those colors.

Check the garment for stains, rips, zippers that do not work, etc. Most things are perfectly fine; however, it would be wise to check them.
- Give back. Don’t forget to drop off the things you no longer use or need when you’re at the thrift store. Most of us have a pile of stuff to give away “someday” — old clothes, an unused piece of furniture, a box of books pulled from the shelf to make more room. When you’re heading to the thrift store, pack it up and take it with you.
